Acer's U36 Ultraportable Notebook Gets Detailed, Still Mum On Release Date

Labels: , , , ,

We heard about the Acer U36 ultraportable notebook last week and Acer has officially announced absolutely everything you need to know about it. That includes the MSRP which we'll talk about later. Anyways, the U36 notebook packs a 13.3-inch LED-backlit display, an Intel Core i5-460M CPU, Nvidia GeForce 310M graphics, 2GB of RAM, Optimus tech, a 500GB HDD, an HDMI output, one USB 3.0 / a few USB 2.0 ports, a 4-cell battery which should last 10 hours, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The (black or silver) body is said to be 0.75-inches and it weighs 1.66kg so it'll be quite easy to bring with you everywhere you go.

Unfortunately, for this model you'll have to give up NT$41,900 which is around $1,375 USD. Quite a bit to pay for, but it could be worth it if you have the money. This is something to get if you want something more powerful than a MacBook Air.

Motorola Olympus Gets Spied Out Again, Tegra 2 and Froyo With MOTOBLUR

Labels: , , , , , ,

A few more pictures of the Motorola Olympus has just been making the rounds. Apparently, this one was bought from a flea market, which seems a bit fishy. Either way, there are new pictures of it up and I honestly don't care where Gizmodo's tipster got the actual smartphone from. At this point it's clear that this smartphone packs the Tegra 2 chipset, an HDMI output, a microUSB port, likely around a 4-inch display, and Android 2.2 with the MOTOBLUR UI. If you have time to kill then head over to Gizmodo below to check out a few more pictures.

Sony's PlayStation (Z1) Phone Gets Caught In the Wild, Has 4-Inch Display and Gingerbread?

Labels: , , , , , ,

Coming from a Germany website is a video of an upcoming gaming Android handset from Sony Ericsson. Yes, it's apparently the PlayStation (Z1) Phone caught in the wild! This is a pretty sneaky short video, so take a look at it below. If the rumours are true, we could be seeing this one in a few days. If that doesn't pan out to be true, then it'll likely get an MWC 2011 unveiling. Sources say that this smartphone packs a 4-inch display and will be running Gingerbread by the time it actually hits the market.
