Nokia X2-01 Is Another Entry-Level QWERTY Handset From the Company

Labels: ,

Yet another QWERTY handset from Nokia is on the way and it's the X2-01. This handset is sporting a QVGA display, Bluetooth support, an FM radio, and a microSD card slot. This is quite similar to the Nokia C3 but should be cheaper since it's missing a few key components. Compared to the Nokia C3, the X2-01 has no WiFi support and a 3MP camera (the C3 has a 2MP camera). Release date is unknown right now but it should be quite affordable.

Android-Based LG enV Pro Gets Pictured But Verizon Doesn't Want To Launch It Anymore

Labels: , , , , ,

Remember the LG enV Pro? Well, it was supposed to hit Verizon in about a week but apparently the carrier changed their mind about launching it. Android and Me points out that the handset was running Android 2.1 with some entry-level specs but failed to impress any of the testers. Oh well, it wasn't really much of a big deal for the high-end customers but I'm sure that some teens could be missing out on something here. Oh well, there are a few other entry-level Android handsets coming to T-Mobile in the future.

Dell Venue (aka Thunder) Hits the FCC Again, Good Enough For T-Mobile USA (1700MHz 3G Bands)

Labels: , , , , ,

The Dell Venue aka the Thunder has just hit the FCC again. This time it has the model code V03B002 and it's sporting 3G bands (1700MHz AWS) perfect for T-Mobile in the USA - the other model (here) was for AT&T in the US along with Rogers, Bell, and Telus in Canada. This is definitely great news. Remember that the Venue is similar to the Venue Pro spec-wise but it sports Android - instead of Windows Phone 7 - and does not have the portrait slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Check it out at the FCC.

LG H1000B Tablet Will Be Running Windows 7, Hits the FCC

Well, here's a bit of interesting news. A new LG tablet (model number H1000B) has hit the FCC with WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support. The FCC filing didn't have a picture but Wireless Goodness did some snooping and managed to catch a picture of the twitpic you see above. This tablet is said to be sporting an SD card reader along with Windows 7 as the OS. You should already know when we'll likely see this one getting official - at CES 2011. Check it out at the FCC.

7 and 10-Inch Creative Ziio Android-Based Tablets Get Official In London, Landing In December

Labels: , , , , ,

Out of all the companies out there I didn't think that today I'd be writing about new devices from Creative, but I am. They have just made their two tablets official as a part of their new Ziio line-up. These tablets come in 7 and 10-inch models and feature just about the same spec sheet. They both feature Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR / WiFi support, a microSD card slot, speakers, a ZiiLabs ZMS-08 CPU, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a miniUSB port, HD outputs, and Android 2.1. The 7-inch model sports a capacitive touchscreen display so that's a bit of good news.

The 8GB 7-inch model will cost you £199 ($320 USD), while the 16GB model will cost you £219 ($352 USD). The larger 10-inch tablet will cost you £249 ($400 USD) for 8GB and £269 ($432 USD) for 16GB. These tablets should be available in December.

Dell Venue Pro Hits the FCC, Short Stop Before It Hits T-Mobile USA

Labels: , , , ,

Just like the title says, the Dell Venue Pro has hit the FCC. The FCC filing (here) actually doesn't tell us anything important but it's good to see that it has taken its trip through. This smartphone will be hitting T-Mobile USA in the future but the release date is still unknown at this point.
