Verizon's Inventory Says the DROID Pro May Launch For $300

Labels: , , , , ,

Coming from DROID-Life is a leak about a new Verizon smartphone, the Motorola DROID Pro. If true, it'll be available for $499.99 contract-free and $299.99 on a 2-year contract which is quite a bit to pay for it. Hopefully, Verizon intends to release this for $199.99 on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate. We can only hope right now.

LG Android Phone Leaks, Hitting Verizon With LTE Support, HD Video Recording, and Front-Facing Camera

Exclusive information coming from Engadget has just mentioned that a new LG smartphone is headed to Verizon with LTE (4G) connectivity. There's no name being tossed around right now but the photo does tell us that this smartphone will have HD video recording capabilities (probably 720p, but it could be 1080p), WiFi support, and what appears to be a front-facing camera. This will likely be LG's best smartphone yet since they have yet to shine in that department.

HTC Knight (Or Speedy) Said To Be Making Its Way To Sprint, Rumoured Specs Date Back To August

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

There's a new rumour going around that there's a new HTC handset headed to Sprint USA. Apparently, it's being dubbed the HTC Knight - at least for now - and will also feature a sliding mechanism so there might be a physical QWERTY keyboard on this one. This handset is said to be running Android and will be "released" or possibly just unveiled in two weeks time.

Update: According to Boy Genius, the HTC Knight will actually be called the HTC Speedy when it launches. If that's the case, then that means we heard about this phone way back in August. Rumoured specs include a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen display, the new 800MHz Qualcomm CPU, a 5MP camera with a flash, 386MB of RAM, and Android 2.2 "Froyo". The screenshot below says that a case will actually launch on January 6th, which is actually the first day of CES 2011.
