Acer Aspire Revo 3700 Nettop Features Dual-Core Atom D525 and Next-Gen Ion

Acer has just announced their latest nettop, dubbed the Aspire Revo 3700. This nettop is different from the previous models because it will feature an Intel Atom D525 dual-core 1.8GHz CPU. Other specs include 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB HDD, four USB 2.0 ports, VGA / HDMI outputs, WiFi 802.11b/g/n support, a mini PCIe slot, a gigabit Ethernet port, and Nvidia's next-gen Ion graphics. The Revo 3700 nettop will be available later this year for around $580.

News For T-Mobile's G2 Coming Soon, Says a Tweet In Binary Code

An interesting tweet from T-Mobile USA was, well, tweeted a couple of hours ago. It's a bunch of jibberish for most people out there but if you know binary code then this apparently says G2newscomingsoon. In case you forgot, the T-Mobile G2 should feature a touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Flash 10.1 support, a new 800MHz Qualcomm CPU, and Android 2.2. This should launch for $199.99 on a 2-year contract.

Telus Puts Up a "Coming Soon" Page For the Samsung Galaxy Apollo

Finally, Telus has decided to put a "Coming Soon" page for the Android-based Samsung Galaxy Apollo. This handset will feature a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, WiFi support, a 3MP camera, an FM radio, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 2.1. The pricing was leaked out by Best Buy last week and it'll cost $49.99 on a 3-year contract and $249.99 contract-free. Check it out on Telus.

SaskTel Also Releasing the BlackBerry Torch, Due Before the End of the Month

SaskTel has just tweeted some great news for BB fans out there. The Torch (9800) will be available through them before the end of this month. The BlackBerry Torch is the best thing that RIM has released to date with its 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 5MP camera, a slide-up QWERTY keyboard, an optical trackpad, a microSD card slot, and BB OS 6.0. The Torch should be available for $199.99 on a 3-year contract but Mobile Syrup mentions that the contract-free price will be expensive compared to the other carriers.

Rogers About To Take Pre-Orders For the Samsung Captivate

It's not exactly the biggest news around, but Rogers' Samsung Captivate should be available for you to pre-order soon. An e-mail has been going around - sent from Rogers - has confirmed this information so you should look out for it in your inbox. The Captivate will be the second Galaxy S variant in Canada following the launch of the Bell Galaxy S Vibrant. The Captivate features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, WiFi / Bluetooth / GPS support, a 5MP AF camera with 720p HD video recording, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, and Android 2.1 underneath the Touchwiz UI.

It looks like the BlackBerry Torch (9800) could be hitting another carrier in the UK, and it'll be O2. The inventory leak (above) shows that it could be hitting their stores as early as October 4th. Unfortunately, the price is unknown but it'll likely be free on a 2-year contract where you'll have to pay for some kind of data plan.

Nokia Releasing the N8 In the Last Week Of September, Landing In the UK On October 1st

Nokia has finally announced the availability of their N8. This smartphone (running Symbian^3) will be available in the last week of September for £429 unlocked or for free on contract with a £35 monthly fee. If you live in the UK then you'll be able to pick one up starting on October 1st. There's really not much left to tell you because the specs have been played out up to this point. This was expected, but it was pretty bad timing. The Fascinate hit Verizon this morning on a BOGO deal and now T-Mobile has decided to release the BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300). This smartphone is running OS 5.0 out of the box but it should get an upgrade to OS 6.0. Pick one up right now for $79.99 on a 2-year contract.
