Unfortunately, this netbook does not do that; instead it's running Windows 7 Starter Edition. Other specs include a 250GB HDD, a 10.1-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 6-cell battery. They've managed to pack all of that into a 2.8-pound body. Telus' Source Code Possibly Shows Off BlackBerry Torch Pricing, To Be $299.95 On a 3-Year?

Labels: , , , , ,

Although Telus has removed the pricing from the source code, Mobile Syrup picked it up before it was pulled. The most important parts about the source code is that the possible pricing is revealed. It's said to be $299.95 on a 3-year contract, $399.95 on a 2-year contract, and $499.95 on a 1-year contract. This is kind of unlike Telus' usual pricing because that 3-year is definitely too much (it'll be cheaper) and their prices don't end in $0.95 (like Bell), they end with $0.99. Oh well, maybe it's not so important after all.

New High-End HTC Smartphone With Android and the Sense UI Headed to Verizon, Picture Leaks

Labels: , , , , , ,

The photo you see above has just leaked out and this one's headed to Verizon. This high-end smartphone is going to be running Android (likely 2.2 "Froyo") along with the Sense UI. The body is said to be a "more polished Nexus One" and sports some brushed aluminum. The specs are said to be a 4.3-inch display, an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash, a kickstand, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a front-facing camera. The things we don't know about this handset are the price, release date, and the name. A couple of sources are saying that this could be the HTC Merge or even the HTC Scorpion but who knows if that's actually true. Maybe this is sporting a new dual-core CPU. Just maybe.
