Motorola "Kobe" MB520 Said To Be Running Android With a Pretty Ballin' Spec Sheet, Hitting AT&T

Labels: , , , , ,

Well, well, well, four exclusive posts from Engadget in two days and it looks like another Android handset has just been leaked out. This one's coming from Motorola and it's being codenamed "Kobe" (like Kobe Bryant) and sports the model number MB520. This smartphone is said to be hitting AT&T with the DROID X / DROID 2's skinned UI.

The smartphone itself is said to feature a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen display with a 480 x 854 resolution, a TI OMAP (3440 / 3630) 800MHz CPU, PowerVR SGX 530 graphics, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (2GB in the box), a 3MP camera (without a flash), and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support. Engadget points out that this smartphone will come pre-loaded with Swype, Vlingo, and DLNA support and seems like it'll be a great addition to the Android line-up that the carrier already has. It's surprising that this won't be headed to Verizon with the DROID moniker.
