Two weeks ago we heard that AT&T was testing this phone and this turns out to be true. As you can see in the image below, one of tiles have the AT&T logo in it so it's definitely headed there. It has the LG look to it (cheap and platicky) and the keyboard seems to be one of the better crafted ones out there, a 4-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard that looks easy enough to type on.

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Pioneer Computers (here) is now taking pre-orders of their DreamBook ePad N7 tablet which looks a lot like the Aigo N700 tablet which is a rebranded Compal NAZ-10. This one is priced at AUD $599, which is about $530 USD, and it sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution and Nvidia's Tegra 2 graphics. Other specs include: 4GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, WiFi b/g support, an HDMI output, and if you order one right now they'll throw in the optional 1.3MP webcam for free. For an extra $99 you'll get 3G connectivity so that's pretty sweet if you're willing to cough up the extra money. It's running Android 2.1 and might not have access to the Android Market so maybe that's one you thing you'll dislike.

LG's enV Touch 2 To Be the enV G, Talk About Some "Thunder", WP7 Slider (Panther?)

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

We just heard about LG's enV Touch 2 yesterday and it will reportedly be sporting the Android OS. Boy Genius has just mentioned that the enV Touch 2 will actually launch as the enV G. This handset is said to feature dual touchscreen displays along with a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU so it'll be right up there with the best of them. There's also word of another mid-end Android 2.1 handset that the company is working on and this is said to be known internally as the "Thunder" - not to be confused with the Dell Thunder. This handset is said to be sport a touchscreen display and will be available on five major carriers in the US (Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, and MetroPCS). It seems like this will be their answer to Samsung's Galaxy S - in terms of sales, not raw power.

Last, but not least, there's some Windows Phone 7 news. Apparently, LG's first WP7 handset will be sporting a touchscreen display along with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This isn't exactly the biggest rumour around since we've seen this phone leaked a bunch of times already - the Panther.
