WIND Mobile Bringing the Motorola XT720 To Canada?

Labels: , , , , ,

Cincinnati Bell just released the Motorola XT720 in the USA but Canadians don't really care about that. What Canadians might be interested in is that the Android smartphone may actually be hitting WIND Mobile sometime in the future. The photo taken above is reportedly WIND Mobile's systems; it likely won't be launching for $9,999.99 like it says. However, if this is true this should be one of WIND's most expensive smartphones to date.

The XT720 is pictured below and it features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with a 480 x 854 resolution, a TI OMAP 720MHz CPU, an 8MP AF camera with 720p HD video recording, WiFi / Bluetooth support, a microSD card slot, and version 2.1 of the Android OS.

T-Mobile Launching the Samsung T369 For $79.99 Pre-Paid Soon

Labels: , , ,

In June we first heard about the Samsung T369 and it looks like it's definitely coming to T-Mobile USA. This handset will be hitting the carrier's pre-paid line-up. The T369 packs a 1.3MP camera, a QVGA display, Bluetooth support, a microSD card slot, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Being on a pre-paid contract you won't be stuck for two years and it'll cost you $79.99. This is really just for heavy texters out there because it only features EDGE connectivity.

LG C900 and HTC T8788 Being Tested By AT&T, Both Windows Phone 7 Handsets

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Two more Windows Phone 7 handsets have apparently leaked out. The first one is the LG C900 which was actually spotted in the XML on LG's own website. This was just spotted on DSLReports mobile speed testing site (here) as well but, of course, the specs are unknown right now. The other handset that was also spotted on DSLReports is the HTC T8788. Both of these phones are reportedly being tested by AT&T right now. AT&T being the "premier carrier" of Windows Phone 7 handsets could have a bunch of them by the end of the year.

Windows Phone 7 Based HTC Spark Gets Confirmed On Their Own Website

Labels: , ,

A new handset has been confirmed on HTC's own website and it's the HTC Spark. This smartphone is said to be keyboard-less and sporting a WVGA touchscreen display along with Windows Phone 7. Specs are unknown right now so we'll have to wait and see if HTC accidentally leaks out some more information. Maybe the HTC Spark is the mystery HTC smartphone we saw two weeks ago (pictured above). If that's true it'll be a CDMA device but the MMS info hints at this being a GSM / GPRS handset so maybe it's something new.

In late July we heard about the HTC Ace launching as the Desire HD and the picture above could be that smartphone. This smartphone looks like it could be packing a 4.3-inch display, a 1GHz CPU, and Android 2.2 "Froyo". Well, let's hope we find out soon.

Update: Well, that was quick! Engadget has just spotted a video on YouTube of the Ace / Desire HD. It's below if you want to check it out. It shows off the back of the phone which has an 8MP camera along with a dual-LED flash and that's just about it.

HTC's Verizon-Bound 4G LTE World Phone Leaks Out In a Picture, Sporting Android (2.2 or 3.0) and 1.2GHz CPU?

Labels: , , , , , , ,

An unknown HTC handset is said to be sporting Verizon 4G LTE connectivity but the specs are unknown right now. Apparently though, this smartphone will be running on some version of Android (2.2 or 3.0) along with a 4-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard (an ugly, but easily usable one), and a 1.2GHz CPU. The phone appears to be just about the same size as the EVO 4G and the launch date is rumoured to be in early 2011. It's a world phone so maybe you'll want to save your money for this one.
