HP Releases the $380 15.6-Inch Compaq CQ62Z Notebook

Labels: , , , ,

Why get a netbook when you get a notebook for right around the same price. HP has just revealed and released the Compaq CQ62Z, which sports a 15.6-inch LED backlit display. Inside you'll find AMD's V120 CPU clocked at 2.2GHz, ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics, 2GB of RAM, WiFi n, a 250GB HDD, a DVD burner, and a 6-cell battery - that should last less than 4 hours. This notebook is going for just $379.99 (here), which is actually extremely cheap. This is a pretty sweet deal so you should probably pick one up if you're on a budget. The worst part about all of this news is that it probably doesn't look as glamorous as it does in the press shot above.

LG Finally Hooks Up With T-Mobile USA, Giving Them Three Phones

Labels: , , , , ,

Believe it or not, but T-Mobile USA has never launched a phone by LG - that is, until now. LG with T-Mobile has just introduced three new dumbphones. From left to right, it's the LG Sentio. This handset sports a 3-inch touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, and visual voicemail. The one in the middle is the dLite flip which has an LED external display, a 2.8-inch internal display, and will come in two colours: bubblegum and electric blue. The last handset on the right is the GS170 Flip which features a VGA camera, Bluetooth 2.1 support, and some other entry-level specs. None of these handsets should be expensive, but then again they do have the myTouch 3G Slide for $179.99 so you never know.

If this is to be believed, the website of the iPhone HD has just leaked out and the smartphone is going to cater to a wider audience this time around. This webpage shows that the iPhone HD will be available in five colours: red, blue, green, white, and black. There's not much else this webpage tells us but I'm sure that Steve Jobs will clear everything up for us in less than 24 hours (at the time of writing).

The HTC Liberty (not pictured) codename has actually been leaked a couple of times (here and here). Unfortunately, we still don't know any specs about the handset, but it should feature an HVGA (320 x 480 resolution) display. The new rumour is stating that this GSM phone is bound for AT&T later this year. This smartphone also won't have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and should be running Windows Phone 7.
