ICD Gemini Tablet Prototype Gets Tested Out, Still Needs Work; Could Launch In August

Labels: , , ,

We heard about the ICD Gemini tablet yesterday and someone has already got their hands on a prototype device. Apparently, this tablet is looking to launch in August of this year if everything works out. Right now only a few things are working properly since it's extremely buggy but the browser is "blistering fast." ICD has to work on getting the standard Android apps to work properly but that could also be the developer's fault. ICD is reportedly already in talks with a couple of different carriers, but we already know that T-Mobile UK is on-board with their larger 15-inch ICD Vega tablet.

This chip will reportedly be available in Q2, but Intel has to make it official still.

Verizon Employees Get Teased With "New Devices", Six Devices Incoming?

Labels: , , ,

Verizon has just teased everyone with the picture you see above. Well, they actually only sent this to Verizon Wireless employees, but it got leaked out. I'm going to guess that at least one of these devices will be the HTC Incredible.

Update: According to Electronista, the Incredible could get launched on April 25th.

Update: According to Slash Gear, the codename 6 could mean that Verizon is set to launch six new phones! This is great news and they could include the HTC Incredible, the LG VS750, two Microsoft Pink devices (Pure and Turtle), and the Samsung U820 Reality. They could also be launching the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and the Google Nexus One. Yes, that's six phones, but we'll see what happens in a couple of days.

France's Bouygues Telecom To Offer the Google Nexus One Soon

Labels: , , , ,

France looks like they could be getting their shot at purchasing the Google Nexus One soon. On Bouygues Telecom's website, it's listed (check that out here) but the release date wasn't mentioned. This handset is already available in a couple of different places, but it's definitely good news for Google to keep pushing out the phone as best as they can. The phone may be good, but the sales are slow because of Google only selling it through their own online store.

Bouygues Telecom may actually be selling the handset itself so you'll be able to choose from a bunch of different plan options.
