Asus Eee Box EB1501U and EB1012U Gain USB 3.0 Ports

Labels: , , , , ,

It looks like two Eee Box PCs from Asus have just been updated to have come USB 3.0 ports. The EB1501U and EB1012U are now up on the Acer website (here and here, respectively). Besides the new ports, that's really all that differentiate themselves from the U-less models. They're both packing an Intel Atom dual-core 330 CPU, Nvidia Ion graphics, a DVD burner, WiFi b/g/n , Ethernet / VGA / HDMI ports. The EB1012U doesn't have the DVD burner so it measures in at 10mm thinner.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini and Mini Pro Priced For the UK

Labels: , , , , ,

Sony Ericsson will be releasing their XPERIA X10 Mini in May and the Mini Pro (pictured above) will be coming in June. Reportedly, the devices will be available with £300 ($410 USD) and £340 ($450 USD) price tags, respectively, which is a bit more than what I was expecting. Imagine how much the XPERIA X10 will cost.

Another Photo of the BlackBerry Pearl 9100, Getting Official Next Week?

Labels: , , , ,

Since it's a weekend I might as well supply you with another photo of the BlackBerry Pearl 9100. Cleraly, it's sporting the black colour with an optical trackpad. It's running OS 5.0.0.449 and unfortunately it's still got the SureType QWERTY keyboard on there. I wonder if we'll ever see the full QWERTY model. With CTIA Wireless coming up next week, let's hope RIM can make this handset official already.

Bell Mobility To Launch the Motorola DEXT For $399.95 Contract-Free?

Labels: , , , , ,

The latest rumour states that the Motorola DEXT on Canada's Bell Mobility could launch for $399.95. Of course, that's contract-free so Mobile Syrup is guessing that Bell will decide to launch it for $149.95 on a 2-year contract which seems reasonable. I'm hoping that they can bump that down to $99.95 on contract though but that's probably wishful thinking.

Sprint Pushing Out Android 2.1 For HTC Hero and Samsung Moment Starting In April

Labels: , , , , , ,

It looks like HTC Hero and Samsung Moment owners on Sprint will have to wait at least a couple more weeks to get their Android 2.1 update. The update will be taking place sometime in April and Sprint is reportedly working really hard to push this update out. It's great news for those users who are a bit afraid to flash the 2.1 ROM themselves.

Lenovo Pushes Out ThinkPad Edge 14 and 15 Notebooks For the Business Folk

Labels: , ,

Lenovo's done it again. Larger models of their ThinkPad Edge have just been pushed out, yes, 14 and 15-inch models. They're packing Intel Celeron CPUs and a spill-resistant keyboard for starters - that's a $599 starting price. Don't worry though, you'll be able to upgrade them to an Intel Core i3 CPU, a couple of faster and larger HDDs, and even a Blu-ray drive if that's what you want. These notebooks are available in glossy red, glossy black, or matte black which would be my choice. This one will be on Lenovo's own site in the beginning of April, but you can look around because some retailers are selling them now.

15.6-Inch Business Oriented MSI P600 Notebook Packs Core i5

Labels: , , , ,

MSI looks like they're about to launch a pretty slick looking business notebook, the P600. This notebook will be packing a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Core i5 CPU, and a fingerprint reader for a bit of security. There's an integrated 1.3MP webcam, a multitouch trackpad, integrated graphics from Intel, a dual-layer DVD drive, and an 8-cell battery that will supposedly last 8 hours. As you can see the chiclet keyboard also has a numeric keypad on the right side. I'm really digging this look.
