LG SV770 Waffle Entry-Level Slider Hitting SK Telecom Soon

Labels: , ,

A new handset from LG has just been spotted, it's the LG SV770 Waffle. We have no clue why LG decides to pin these weird names on their handset, but that's not what's important. This slider is an entry-level handset so there's no 3G on-board. However, there are things like Bluetooth and FM radio support. This handset will be available in three colours: black, white, and champagne gold. This handset will be available on SK Telecom in a couple of weeks. Check out LG's website here for more information.

LG X140 Netbook Spotted In the Wild

Labels: , ,

An upcoming LG netbook has just been spotted in the wild, the X140. This one wasn't part of the line-up that LG announced earlier this morning, but we know that it'll be Atom N450 (1.66GHz) powered and will feature things like 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, an integrated webcam, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, a 6-cell battery, Windows 7, and a 10.1-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution. This netbook looks like it could have integrated 3G support as well since it's sporting a SIM card slot, but that's unconfirmed right now. We don't know the price and release details of this netbook right now.

iWonder Reveals Their Android Tablet, Should Launch For Around $100

Labels: , , , , ,

Last week at MWC, iWonder demoed a tablet rocking Android 1.6 but for some reason their logo was upside-down. Swing and a miss. Anyways, this Marvell-powered tablet sports a dark 10.1-inch touchscreen display, WiFi, and a couple of touch-sensitive buttons on the bezel. This tablet may not look all that impressive and that's because they plan to launch it for just over $100 USD which is pretty good. The tablet looked like it was just a prototype at MWC, but maybe we'll see more of it in the future.

LG Not Working On Their Own Smartphone OS, Will Use Android and Windows Phone 7

Labels: , , , ,

Unlike their closest rival, Samsung, LG doesn't see the need to launch their own smartphone OS. Samsung unveiled their Bada OS at MWC last week and LG is probably unimpressed. They've already mentioned that they only see three OS's coming out on top, that being Android, Windows Phone 7, and the iPhone. Of course, their future smartphones will be utilizing the Android and Windows Phone 7 OS, so let's see how that works out for them.

The newest one is the LG T280 netbook which features an 11.6-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, Intel Pentium SU4100 / Core 2 Duo SU7300 ULV CPU options, integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics, 2GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD, WiFi b/g/n, an HDMI port, a couple of USB 2.0 ports, a 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Home Premium.

This netbook weighs 3.1 pounds and has a roomy keyboard but a touchpad that has integrated buttons which is a hit or miss. If you're looking to take your shot at any of these netbooks they should be available pretty soon - in Asia, at least.
