Apple Files Patent For Front-Facing Camera On a Device, Will It Debut This Year?

Labels: , , , , ,

Could it be? A front-facing camera making its way onto the next iPhone? Or could it be for the iPad or a new model of the iPod - seeing how it's got the Apple's clickwheel trademark. We don't know, but we'd honestly be happy with a front-facing camera on anything Apple has right now - except for the iPod Classic. Let's hope we see it in a future iPhone, iPod Touch, or even the iPad.

Next iPhone To Use Samsung's Super AMOLED? Likely the 3.7-Inch

Labels: , , , ,

The next iPhone is coming in the middle of this year and that should surprise no one. Apparently, Apple does have a "lifetime" deal with Samsung for AMOLED displays, but they haven't used them yet. Considering how the possible casing was leaked out, the next iPhone could be slightly taller than its predecessors. This means that it'll likely be using the 3.7-inch Super AMOLED [found on the Samsung Beam] if this turns out to be true. The next iPhone could also be thinner as well since Samsung's new AMOLED display has touchscreen integrated into it.

Apparently, the Nintendo DS successor could be being tested as we speak. Apparently, it's already in the hands of some developers and Pokemon is looking really closely at how all of this works. They could launching one of the first games on the next-gen DS so that could be great news for ya. The next-gen DS looks like it'll have an accelerometer inside of it, but it'll be a lot more than just an accelerometer. We'll just have to see what happens when they show us more. Below is what one of the developers said.

“It’s genuinely the best thing I think I’ve ever worked with, I can tell you that it’s got a ’tilt’ function that’s not dissimilar to iPhone, but does a lot more. We know that The Pokemon Company are getting special attention with it.”

HP Slate's Full Model To Cost Cheaper Than $630?

Labels: , ,

I'm sure you faintly remember the HP Slate that Steve Ballmer unveiled at CES. Well, it looks like they plan to launch this on or around the $630 USD price tag for the full version of the tablet. Of course, they were waiting for Apple to reveal the pricing of their tablet and it was cheaper than a lot of people expected. The HP Slate somewhat undercuts the iPad's pricing but we don't know the spec of the Slate yet, so we'll have to wait for that.
