HTC HD2 Gets Another Look, A Price Drop and a Delay

Labels: ,

If the HTC HD2's battery life isn't long enough for you then you could be looking at your future extended battery. This is a slightly better photo then we saw a couple of weeks ago and they've also cut the price down to just £35 ($55 USD). Unfortunately, it won't be launching this month since it's been pushed to a March launch. It's only one month, calm down.

Rogers Launching Samsung Flight; Fido Launching Motorola W388

Labels: , , , , ,

It looks like Rogers and Fido has some more launches up their sleeve. Rogers will be launching the Samsung Flight which has a look similar to the Palm Pre but it's their own TouchWiz UI on board. Other specs include a 2.8-inch touchscreen display with a 240 x 320 resolution, a slide-out QWERTY keypad, a 2MP camera and a microSD card slot. Rogers will be launching it for around [possibly under] $99.99 on a 3-year contract.

Fido, on the other hand, will be launching the Motorola W388 which has a look similar to the Renew W233. The specs include a 1.8-inch display with a 128 x 160 resolution, a 2.5mm headphone jack, a VGA camera, and a microSD card slot. The pricing should be around $15 on a 2-year contract and $65 pre-paid.

The release date for either phone hasn't been mentioned so we'll have to wait around for that news.

Sony Ericsson Answers Your Questions On the XPERIA X10

Labels: , , , , ,

Sony Ericsson's marketing manager, Harold de Kort, has been kind enough to answer around 80 questions regarding the upcoming XPERIA X10 - the company's first Android handset. This handset is definitely launching with Android 1.6 but he did mentioned that it will be upgradeable to either version 2.0 / 2.1 in the future. Who knows how long the wait for that will be though. Sadly, this handset will not have multitouch support. The price is expected to be €599 ($817 USD) unlocked, so it's not cheap but we never expected it to be. Thankfully it'll be launching here in Canada on Rogers so it'll be heavily subsidized.
