16GB Nokia X6 Model Officially Announced, Does Not Come With Music

Labels: ,

It looks like Nokia has just announced that the 16GB X6 model will be available by the end of this quarter. Thankfully this model will not have a Comes With Music edition. This handset has similar specs to its larger 32GB model, so that's a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 360 x 640 resolution, HSDPA / WiFi / GPS support, Ovi Maps, TV output, a 5MP AF camera. It'll also come with three pre-loaded games: Spore, Ashphalt4, and DJ Mix Tour.

This handset has four different colour models (black, white, white and yellow, and white and pink) and will be available for around €350 ($493 USD) which is €100 ($141 USD) cheaper than the 32GB model

Boost Mobile Releases the Sanyo Incognito By Kyocera For $129

Labels: , , , , ,

Boost Mobile has just officially unveiled and released the Sanyo Incognito by Kyocera. We've seen this handset before and it reminds me of LG's enV line-up. This handset features an external OLED display, a 2.6-inch internal display, a QWERTY keyboard, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth / GPS / Sprint 3G support, and a microSD card slot.

This handset is available for $129.99 contract-free here. You'll be able to purchase it from Best Buy, Radio Shack, Target, and Walmart in a couple of weeks.

9-Inch Asus DR-950 E-Book Reader Hitting the Market This April

Labels: , ,

Remember the 9-inch Asus DR-950 e-book reader? Well, we're now hearing that they plan to launch it in April for around £250 ($354 USD). Unfortunately, it's rocking last year's e-ink display and could [and will probably] be trampled on by tomorrow's Apple tablet announcement.

Samsung's 240Hz 3D HDTVs Go Into Mass Production

Labels: ,

Remember those large 240Hz Samsung 3D HDTVs? Well, it looks like Samsung is starting to mass produce them just in case you wanted to get them. They'll come in 40, 46, and 55-inch models and they all have a 4ms response time. The prices haven't been mentioned yet but we should hear them soon.

HTC Supersonic Gets Rendered and Pictured In Real Life (Again)

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Here's a better picture of the HTC Supersonic. This is expected to be similar to the HD2, but it'll be running Android instead. This handset is expected to pack Sprint's WiMAX and a 4.3-inch OLED touchscreen display. This one is shaping up to be a great smartphone.

Update: Unwired View has taken it a bit farther and they've just found the HTC Supersonic in the flesh. The picture it below, looking huge!

HTC Bravo Pictured Much Better, Sense UI and Android Love

Labels: , , , ,

Thank you! Here's a better picture of the upcoming HTC Bravo that should be hitting the market soon. This phone is expected to be extremely similar to the Google Nexus One but it's sporting an optical mouse instead of the trackball. It should also bring on HTC's Sense UI over top of Android which will give it a nice and slick look.

Cowon W2 Gets Played With Somewhere, Atom and Windows 7 In an MID

Labels: , , , ,

AVING has caught the Cowon W2 MID / UMPC / tablet in a couple of pictures. Clearly it's running Windows 7 and it'll be powered by an Intel Atom but we already know this information already. It looks fairly thick - as you can see above - and will likely be overshadows by the Apple tablet that's set to show its face tomorrow.

Thomson and Technicolor PoMMeS Tablet Spotted At the FCC, More Apples!

Labels: ,

It looks like a French company, Thomson and Technicolor has just passed their PoMMeS tablet to the FCC (pommes is the French word for Apple, just in case you didn't know). It's pretty underwhelming, to be honest, and the name is actually the most interesting part about it. It's got an 8-inch display with an 800 x 480 resolution, a stylus, VoIP, an integrated webcam, built-in speakers, and TI's DaVinci and Xilinx logic chip. Check out the FCC filing here.

Virgin Mobile Set To Launch HSPA+ Network In Early February

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

We've already heard that there'll be a "new Virgin Mobile" this year and we already know what phones they are launching this year. To add fuel to the fire, Virgin Mobile looks like that they're going to be upgrading their network to HSPA+ (21Mbps) - thanks to Bell Mobility. We don't know when the network will launch, but it could be on or around February 2nd. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 and iPhone should be available at this new network launch.

Google Nexus One Not Hitting Walmart -- Hitting Verizon As Well AT&T and Sprint Too?

Labels: , , , ,

Okay so there's been a couple of problems with the Google Nexus One and the sales aren't doing too well - although better than expected if you ask them. They're looking to boost those sales a bit by asking help from Walmart. This "Coming Soon" page clearly shows that the Nexus One will be making its way to Walmart in the future. We don't know when it will launch, but it'll be "soon". Let's hope that they decide to have some models available in-store because people want to get their hands-on this device as well - even if it's just to test.

Update: According to Phone Arena, this handset will reportedly have AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon 3G connectivity. The Verizon one is expected but the other two aren't. Maybe it's just a mistake or something.

Update: According to Business Insider, Walmart's spokesman, Ravi Jariwala, has just mentioned they do not intend to carry the Nexus One. Apparently it was a mistake and has been taken down at this point. Below is exactly what he said.

"Due to a technical error, this item erroneously was displayed on our site. We’re working with our partner Let’s Talk to have it removed as quickly as possible. We have no plans to carry Nexus One in Walmart stores or online at Walmart.com at this time."

The Robot Is Yet Another Android Phone, Only $179

Labels: , , ,

You may remember those Verizon commercials that call the Motorola DROID a robotphone. Well, here's the "real" robotphone. This handset you see above is "The Robot" and, of course, it's running Android. Other specs include a 2.8-inch QVGA resistive touchscreen display, dual-band 900 / 1800MHz GSM bands, and there'll be "more than 25" apps bundled in the ROM for you.

You can actually get this phone somewhere for around $179 - if you get it more expensive then it's a rip-off.

HTC HD3 Specs Surface? 4.5-Inch Display, 1.5GHz Snapdragon, HDMI / 4G

Labels: ,

Could the specs above be true? It's skeptical and some of the comments are already calling it fake off the bat. Either way it's not exactly impossible for the HTC HD3 to have these specs. The 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU is expected to launch later this year and will actually be dual-core (I believe). The 4.5-inch display will be huge - even larger than the HD2's current 4.3-inch display - and the resolution is very impressive.

The upgraded camera seems believable as well since the HD2 has a 5MP camera. 4G support and the HDMI port are welcomed and let's hope that they both become standard on next-gen smartphones. It's supposedly launching in November this year and it'll bring Windows Mobile 7 with it.

HP Slate Demoed On Video, Specs Still Unknown

Labels: ,

The HP Slate looks like it has made another appearance. This time it's been caught on video (below). Coincidentally, this video popped up the day before Apple shows off their own tablet. Apparently this Slate is 5 years in the making and is set to launch later this year - funny how things work out. Check it out below.

Sony To Launch VAIO M Series Notebooks In the Future, Who Knows When

Labels: , , ,

It looks like Sony is set to launch another notebook line-up, this time it'll be the VAIO M Series (pictured above is the old VAIO M that launched in 2004). We actually know nothing about this upcoming line-up so we don't know specs, possible price tags, or even a release date right now. They didn't show them at CES so it could be launching later this year.

Bang & Olufsen Launching $10,000 46-Inch BeoVision 10-46 This April

Labels: ,

Bang & Olufsen has just unveiled their latest LCD HDTV. This one just a larger model of their current BeoVision 10 - this one is the BeoVision 10-46 - and will feature a 46-inch display. It'll also be equipped with an aluminum body, 200Hz technology, and it's LED-backlit. Unfortunately, like every other Bang & Olufsen TV, it's expensive. It'll be available in April for around $10,000.
