Nokia X2-01 Could Be Hitting North America, Says Bluetooth SIG

Labels: , , , ,

More LG Star Photos Leak, Show Froyo With a Skinned UI and an HDMI Port

Labels: , , , , , ,

More photos of the LG Star has leaked today and this time it shows the smartphone alive! Yup, this time it's on and it's reportedly running Android 2.2 "Froyo" with some customized UI - no stock Android on here. However, we did hear that the OS is "nearly untouched" so maybe the customized UI doesn't slow down the phone too much. Inside you should find a Tegra 2 chipset along with the port below, that's an HDMI. In November, we heard that this smartphone would have an 8MP camera with Full HD (1080p) video recording, which is great to have.

Labels: , , , , ,

Coming from Three Guys and a Podcast is word on the next-generation MacBook Pro and that it will likely be launched in April 2011. Other changes are said to be no optical (CD/DVD) drive), Intel's upcoming Sandy Bridge CPUs, and the introduction of Light Peak. We don't know if FireWire will still be on-board but USB 3.0 should be. This is all sounding like great news right now but everything's unconfirmed for the moment.

Other improvements could include a touchscreen display since you may be able to upgrade this to "Lion" when it ships in the Summer.

Next iPad To Have Retina Display, Dual Cameras, USB Port, and More?

Earlier rumours said that the next iPad could also be a global tablet so we'll see if that actually comes true.

Two Tegra 2 Devices Headed To AT&T and Verizon In Q1 2011

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

BGR has just received a pretty big tip if you're into getting the latest and greatest mobile phone. The one we've been hearing about for a long time is the Tegra 2-powered Motorola Olympus and this will reportedly be hitting AT&T in the US in January 2011. The screen is said to be "beautiful" and it's, of course, "very fast."

There's also another Tegra 2 powered device but this one will apparently be hitting Verizon with 4G (LTE) connectivity. This will be available in February / March of next year and is being codenamed the Etna. It's unknown which company this is coming from but it could very well be the LG Star, which we heard about a few weeks ago.

Update: The rumour mill is swirling and says that the Etna headed to Verizon could actually be an LTE model of the Olympus or even the DROID Incredible HD.
