LG LU9400 Arena Max To Feature 12MP Camera and Huge 5-Inch Display

Labels: ,

A couple of days ago we heard about the LG LU9400 Arena Max that passed the WiFi Alliance. The only thing that we know about it that it will likely be the successor to the current LG Arena. Today we've just heard a rumour that this handset will feature a 12MP camera and a 5-inch (probably touchscreen) display. Yes, a 5-inch display for some unknown reason. The HTC HD2 is already a huge smartphone so imagine how big this one will be.

Unnecessarily large. That's what she said.

HTC Touch.B (Rome) Leaks Out, Like an HTC Touch2 Running Android

Labels: , ,

What you see above - believe it or not - is not the HTC Touch2 running Windows Mobile, but it seems to be a variant of it. The difference between this and the Touch2 is that this is the HTC "Rome" (or HTC Touch.B) that will be running Android. If this is true it will likely be an entry-level / mid-end handset. We don't know the specifications of this handset, but I'm betting that it'll be quite similar to what you'll find in the Touch2.

Next year, Asus plans to release exactly what you see above, it's the Eee PC 1008P netbook. What you see above though is the special edition model. This netbook will feature: a 10.1-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, an Intel Atom N450 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth support, an integrated 1.3MP webcam, and Windows 7.

This netbook will be available in February 2010, but it's a pretty standard netbook with a beefier CPU. I'm sure we'll see a better offering from them next year, so just wait around aka more RAM and more HDD storage.

What's with the T-Mobile USA rumours lately? Well, here's another one for you. Apparently LG and T-Mobile USA are talking about possibly launching an Android phone in the future. I suppose that this could be the GW620 (Eve), the GW880, or even that Snapdragon one that's coming in 2010. We'll just have to wait and see, since we are the customers.

Barnes & Noble Delaying In-Store Availability and Shipments of Their Nook E-Book Reader -- Wait Gets Even Longer...

Labels: , , , ,

Barnes & Noble is having a bit of a hard time bringing the Nook e-book reader to the market, but that's only because there is lots of demand for it - according to them. It was scheduled to be available in stores today, but they've pushed the in-store date until next week, December 7th. If you haven't ordered your Nook yet, then you'll be receiving yours on January 4th if the shipping goes as planned. A slight delay, but you can wait, right?

Update on December 1st: According to Engadget, Barnes & Noble are also facing shipping delays as well. If you pre-ordered your Nook e-book reader shortly after it was announced then you may not get it before Christmas, but we're hoping you will. If you ordered it after the first batch ran out then you're looking at a January 11th ship date right now. Sad, sad day for those owners right now.\

Update on December 4th: At this point we'll be lucky if the Nook e-book reader ever gets shipped. Engadget has just found out that the shipping date has been delayed four more days from January 11th to January 15th! Damn. Be patient, young grasshopper.
