Verizon Prepping For Buy One Get One Free Offer When the Storm 2 Launches?

Labels: , , ,

Obviously, Verizon is planning to launch the BlackBerry Storm 2 soon and this flyer shows us that there could be a majorly awesomely sweet deal on the way. Possibly due to the - somewhat - failure of the original Storm, Verizon could be offering a buy one get one free when the Storm 2 launches. There's no word on if this is official or not, but it is in a Verizon flyer. If this deal is real, a lot of people are going to be buying two Storm 2's soon - or a Tour if you're into the whole trackball issue thing.

Dell Teases Yet Another Side Photo of the Adamo XPS Notebook

Labels: , , ,

I don't really have much to say here, but it looks like Dell has teased yet another photo of the Adamo XPS for us. Yes, it's really thin - probably thin enough to cut any robbers that try to steal it from you. This would be an awkward way for the Adamo XPS to sit on your lap... Where's the battery at?

Motorola Getting Ready To Devour Another Android Handset

Labels: , , , ,

Another handset has passed the WiFi Alliance and it's another Motorola offering. Apparently, this will be yet another Android handset from them, but I doubt it'll be as high-end as the Droid / Tao / Sholes - that would be way too much for them to handle. Anyways, you can check out the pdf here.

Resistance 3 Billboard Spotted On Movie Set, Signals 2011 Release

Labels: , , , ,

It looks a new billboard has just been spotted that clearly says Resistance 3, but isn't it a bit too early for a number 3? Well, that's because this photo is actually taken off of a movie set which is scheduled to be released in February 2011 by Sony's own Columbia Pictures - for the movie Battle: Los Angeles. Looks like you'll have to wait until early to mid 2011 for Resistance 3. As you can tell in the "A" there's a picture of the Statue of Liberty, so the game could be taking place in New York.

O2 Has a Listing For the Palm Pre II!?

Labels: , , , , ,

This is most likely an error on their part, but it looks like the Palm Pre II is listed on O2's own website. The original Palm Pre is expected to launch on October 16, but no one knows what the deal is with this Pre II listing. Well, it could be the Pixi, but it's sketchy right now.

Amino Briefly Shows Off IPTV Running Intel's Atom CE4100 CPU

Labels: , , ,

I've never heard of this company, but it looks like Amino Communications has just announced a new IPTV that's running on Intel's Atom "Sodaville" CE 4100 CPU. "The processor can support multistream video decoding and has hardware processing. The platform also supports dual channel 800MHz DDR2 or 1333MHz DDR3 RAM." I don't know much about IPTV's so check out the link below for more information.

MyRacer Q10 PMP Is Fashionable But Without a Touchscreen

Labels: ,

What you see above may look quite large, but it's actually just a PMP - the MyRacer Q10 - with a 3-inch display. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it will be a touchscreen display, instead you'll control whatever is on the screen with the dial on the bottom right. The battery life is expected to last 20 hours of audio / 8 hours of video. This PMP probably won't be hitting America, so don't wait for it unless you're somewhere in Asia.

Update: According to Engadget, this PMP actually does have a touchscreen (400 x 240 resolution) display. Other details include: 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot

Labels: , , , ,

Vodafone Spain has just announced that they plan to launch the HTC HD2 (Leo) in December this year. The bad news is that this handset will be exclusively available to their business customers, which a big bummer. Let's hope that it also gets launched to normal customers shortly after though.

I've already reported that this handset is available for pre-orders on Clove UK. Well, now we're hearing that it'll launch unlocked starting on November 11th. Check out the £469 ($739 USD) pre-orders here.

The Mini 311 will be outed with: Nvidia Ion graphics, up to 3GB of RAM, up to a 320GB HDD / 80GB SSD, and even a Windows 7 Professional option. Samsung Puts 240Hz Technology Into Their 55-Inch 3D LCD TV -- No Glasses Required!

Labels: , , ,

It looks like Samsung is planning to hop onto the 3D train with their own offering. What you see above is Samsung's own 55-inch 3D LCD HDTV that has 240Hz technology. They are boasting it to be a lot better than traditional 3D TVs that have just 120Hz technology. Samsung will be showing off this 3D TV set at the IMID expo which takes place in South Korea. As you can tell from the picture, you'll need dorky 3D glasses.

Update on October 13th: According to Samsung Hub, you actually will not need the 3D glasses to view the awesome 3D quality. The release details are still unknown, but this TV set does have a 2,000:1 contrast ratio.

FCC Spills More Details On the Asus Eee Keyboard PC

Labels: , , , , ,

Back in August, we saw the Asus Eee Keyboard PC at the FCC, but now they have more details for us. Well, the most interesting news here is that the Keyboard PC will have a UWB (Ultra Wide Broadband) port so that you can "transmit audio / video wirelessly. Up to 720P quality / within a 5-meter range, or 10 meters for non-video." The transmitter and receiver actually has another HDMI output, two USB 2.0 ports, and a mini USB port.

Everything else we already know about: an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU, a 16GB / 32GB SSD, WiFi 802.11n, VGA / HDMI output, three USB 2.0 ports, integrated stereo speakers, Bluetooth support, a 5-inch touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution, and Windows XP. However, we're willing to bet that there'll be a Windows 7 option as well. It's expected to launch sometime this month, but don't be surprised if it falls back to early next month.

You should already know this but the HTC Hero is now available on Sprint. It's retailing for $179.99 USD on a 2-year contract and - I believe - $479 contract-free.

Update on October 12th: According to a newer Engadget Mobile post, it looks like the HTC Hero could actually be shipping without EV-DO Rev. A support, which means you'll have to stick with WiFi. Engadget Mobile is hoping that it gets fixed via firmware update, but we'll have to see where this goes from here.

The screenshot below shows us that Rogers will be launching the white BlackBerry Bold 9000 too, so that's good news if you're interested in that. We don't know when they will launch, but my guess is that it'll be in the coming weeks...

Lenovo Announces ThinkPad SL410 and SL510 Notebooks

Labels: , , ,

Lenovo has just shown off their two upcoming ThinkPad laptops in Asia. The 14-inch SL410 and the 15.6-inch SL510 have similar specs and are both being outed with LED-backlit displays. Both of these notebooks come equipped with: Intel Celeron 900 / T3000 / T3100 / Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 / T6670 / T7570 CPU options, GMA 4500MH / 4500MHD / AMD M92-S2 XT graphics options, up to a 500GB HDD, up to 4GB of RAM, and multitouch trackpads.

The SL410 appears to be retailing for ¥5,600 (about $820 USD), but the SL510's price is unknown right now. I believe they're available now, so they're pre-loaded with Vista.

Update: According to the latest news, USA will be getting their shot at these laptops starting on October 22nd with Windows 7 - of course.
