Acer F1 Launching On October 6th With WinMo 6.5, 3.8-Inch Touchscreen and 1GHz Qualcomm CPU - Expected to Be Pretty Cheap

Labels: , , , , , ,

This handset was good enough to make my top 10 phone list of 2009 and it looks like it will be launched soon. According to the latest unconfirmed new, the Acer F1 will be launching on October 6th with WinMo 6.5 pre-installed. Other specs include: a 3.8-inch touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution, a 1GHz Qualcomm CPU, quad-band GSM / tri-band HSDPA connectivity, a 5MP AF camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 512MB of ROM, 256MB of RAM, and GPS support. Although it's not mentioned, I'm pretty sure this handset has a microSD card slot.

The Acer F1 will supposedly launch for just 295 pounds (about $482 USD), which is pretty amazing considering the spec sheet. I think Acer is serious about being one of the top smartphone leaders of the world. It doesn't look like this phone will be launching as the Acer S200 like the rumour stated before.

Caszh 11.6-Inch Netbook Launching in China On the Cheap

Labels: , ,

Over in China, Caszh has just revealed a new 11.6-inch netbook that will be pretty damn cheap. Although it's not the thinnest netbook out there, it has a nice design to it. It's got a large chiclet keyboard to love and a pretty large touchpad - compared to the HP Mini's I see all over the place at my University. Specs include: a 1,366 x 768 resolution display, an Intel Atom 1.6GHz N270 CPU, a 160GB HDD, 1GB of RAM, a card reader, VGA / Ethernet ports, audio jacks, and a couple of USB ports. To make this netbook even more attractive, it's launching in China for just around $280 USD.

Samsung N140 Launching in the US This November With Windows 7

Labels: , , , , ,

It may not have a Nvidia Ion chipset, but the Samsung N140 netbook seems to be pretty desirable. Samsung plans to release the N140 netbook to the US this November with Windows 7 Starter Edition pre-installed. It'll be available for $399 USD. And yes, this netbook has an 11.6-inch matte display - thankfully no glossiness - and could have a 250GB HDD. We'll just have to see what happens as the launch date draws closer and closer.

Labels: , , ,

Although we saw its larger sibling a couple of days ago, the ST2210 and ST2310 have just been officially launched by Dell. The Dell ST2310 appears to be the exact same thing, except for the fact that it has a 23-inch display. You can get them now for $259 and $229, respectively, which doesn't make sense but it's true.

You can check out Dell's website here for the ST2210 and here for the ST2310. If you 38 seconds to spare you can also take a look at the video below.

HTC Leo Confirmed To Have 4.3-Inch Multi-Touch Capacitive Display, Makes Touch Diamond 2 Look Small

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

There's not much left to say here, but the HTC Leo really does make the HTC Touch Diamond 2 look puny to say the least. The Leo has a simplistic design on the front since the 4.3-inch multi-touchscreen capacitive WVGA display takes up almost all of the room on the front - it's almost borderless. Anyways, check out the Ai.rs blog here, because they have the phone in their possession right now. Looks like WinMo 6.5 will really have multitouch support built-in which is amazing.

Update: Make sure to scroll down just a bit more because there's now a video preview of the HTC Leo - thanks to Ai.rs blog and WMPowerUser.
