Slim PS3 Spotted in the Philippines? In the Wild?

Labels: , , ,

Apparently, someone in the Philippines took this photo of what appears to be the slim PS3 in the flesh! I don't know whether it's real or not, but it looks nicer than other photos. The story is that TheLastDestroyer over at Ultimate PlayStation was cruising around the underground marketplace in the Philippines - looking for a good deal on a regular PlayStation 3 - when he spotted this retailing for 20,000 pesos ($410 USD). Check out what he had to say below about the PS3 itself and be sure not to miss the video below as well. Luckily, I'm filipino and was able to translate everything the guy in the video was saying, but there are captions. Could it be real?

What I know:

- It has a 120GB HDD.
- Two USB Ports
- The 'touch' button for eject and on seems to be gone, and there are now these random buttons.
- The ps icon is now white instead of colored.
- No more card reader
- PLAYSTATION 3 is gone, rather its PS3. It says this on the bottom as well for some reason.
- The guy was selling it with a Dualshock 3. Whether it is compatible is another matter.
- The guy was selling it for 20,000 pesos, which is roughly £250, which is roughly $410

Labels: , ,

Hey, look what popped up today - coincidentally on the BlackBerry Tour day! It's the BlackBerry 9550 aka Storm 2! And guess what!? Unlike the first BlackBerry Storm, the Storm 2 has WiFi b/g! Besides that, it has: quad-band GSM/EDGE, single-band UMTS/HSDPA support, CDMA 1xRTT/EVDO Rev. A, a 3.2MP camera, a 360 x 480 resolution capacitive display, and runs BlackBerry OS 5.0. Boy Genius has also mentioned that the rumoured BlackBerry Storm 9520 is also a real unit and that will include 3G for AT&T and Rogers.
