Fujitsu M2010 Is Now Official; Same Old Netbook

Labels: , , , ,

The Fujitsu M2010 is your same ol' netbook. It has the N270 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, and Bluetooth. It costs a whopping $650 USD, so that could be a bit too overpriced for a netbook. But wait! It also comes with an external DVD burner and a wireless mouse, so the price tag becomes a bit more reasonable.

I'm pretty sure I've seen that model number before on a Dell laptop a couple of years ago. Ahh, yes! It's the Dell XPS M2010. The laptop that folds up to look like a suitcase, which I wanted at the time. I thought the design was amazing back then and I actually still do.

HP Launching 3D For Notebooks?

Labels: , , ,

We saw a bunch of 3D products at this year's CES and it looks like HP could be implementing this technology into a future notebook. HP could use Nvidia's GeForce 3D Vision in a future notebook, but the 3D-ness will only be seen with the use of those funky glasses. I would never get a notebook with 3D on it if I had to wear the glasses, especially if it was a notebook for University. Imagine all of the humiliation.

Square Enix Launches New Website For A New "Mystery" Game

    Labels:

Square Enix has just launched a new website for a new game. The rumours are pointing towards a Front Mission game. Yes, it is still a "mystery" though. You can take a look at the official website here. I'm excited, and I hope it's something to actually look forward to.

Palm Foleo To Be Resurrected In Netbook Form?

    Labels: , , ,

Do you remember the Palm Foleo? Well, it got canceled a while ago, but it looks like Palm is looking to resurrect it as a new WebOS device. It could be a netbook with a $399 USD price tag. It looks like Palm is making the WebOS similar to Google's Android to me. The said netbook will apparently have an ARM processor and a Qualcomm Gobi chipset for 3G. The netbook will also have a projected 8-10 hour battery life. We'll see how this goes for Palm, but they could be pushing their WebOS too far. We'll just have to see how much other companies will focus on the new WebOS.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic To Hit Cincinnati Bell For $149

    Labels: , , ,

I've never even heard of this company until we heard about them receiving the white Nokia E71 two months ago. Well, it looks like they will also be receiving another hot phone. The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will be coming to Cincinnati Bell for $149.99 USD on a 2-year contract. They will also be offering the phone with no strings attached for $349.99 USD which is $50 less than what Nokia wants for it. This phone looks pretty nice, but keep in mind that it does sport the resistive touchscreen - which is a turn-off for me.

BlackBerry 8900 To Hit AT&T This June?

    Labels: , , , ,

The BlackBerry 8900 that has found its home on T-Mobile - and on ice sculptures in Canada - could be making its way to AT&T this June, according to the latest rumours. The specs will definitely stay the same, so don't expect anything different. If this comes true, all of the news will probably be made official next week at RIM's Wireless Enterprise Symposium. On a side note, don't forget that the BlackBerry Niagara will be available in early Summer and it's definitely something to look forward to.

The transfer rate on the HG-Micro is 60MB/s, which makes it about 40MB/s faster than the Memory Stick Duo. We'll see if this news turns out to be real. Well, it looks like the PSP Go! Rumours could be true, since news / rumours just seems to be picking up.

Asus Eee PC 1008HA Now Available For Pre-Orders In The UK

    Labels: , , , , , , , ,

The MacBook Air-like Asus Eee PC 1008HA is now available for pre-orders in the UK - lucky them. The white version (pictured) is now available for £349 on LaptopDirect. Engadget also adds that "Britons with £379.50 ($565 USD) can get in line for the Midnight Blue edition which should be dispatched in around a month or two according to Amazon UK." This netbook looks really nice, but that price tag is pretty expensive. I need a netbook for school, so right now I'm still looking for something with 8 hours of real-time battery life.

On a side note, you can enjoy a MacBook Air owner taking out his anger on the LCD display of his notebook. He did this because there was a damaged hinge. I feel like doing this to my laptop sometimes, but I never have the guts to do it.

    Xbox 360 To Get Full-Body Motion-Sensing

    Labels: , , , , , ,

I think this is stupid. Well, a couple of days ago we heard about the possibility of Sony releasing its own set of motion-sensing controllers. Well, it looks like the Xbox 360 looks to up the ante, with their own full-body motion-sensing. Yes, you can read that over if you like. This was talked about last year and it looks like we could see it soon - most probably E3, if it's true. Here's Engadget's breakdown of the capabilities of this motion-sensing device:

    • Full body and hand gesture control of games / characters.
    • In fighting games you kick, punch, duck, dive, jump and so forth with your body.
    • It also picks up small hand gestures like pinching, grabbing and scrolling.
    • There will also be video conferencing and games with video.
    • Trivia game over the internet with live images of each person playing. When a question pops up, they can clap to buzz in.
    • You can "move objects on your screen" and the other party can see what you're doing in real time.
    • Sensor detects only the person playing, not folks observing on the couch.

This reminds me of the Tekken game at Playdium. I hated it and I also hate this idea, but I'm sure kids will love it. We'll see what happens.

HTC Magic Hitting T-Mobile As The MyPhone 3G?

    Labels: , , , , ,

What's this!? Here's a leaked screenshot of T-Mobile's inventory system and it looks like there is a new HTC phone coming out soon. A couple of months ago, T-Mobile was toying with a couple of names that they could use for the HTC Magic when it gets released to America. Well, MYTOUCH 3G [with Google] was one of them and it looks like there is an HTC phone with this name coming to America. The HTC Magic should be coming to America as the T-Mobile G2, but it looks like could be released as the MYTOUCH 3G. Personally, I don't really care what the name is, but I do think that the T-Mobile G2 name does sound better.

Microsoft Kumo To Launch On June 2?

    Labels: , , , , , ,

Apparently, over at Microsoft's search headquarters there is a countdown, well, counting down to a date - specifically June 2. It could be the day that the Windows Live brand gets renamed to Kumo. We've heard rumours about this in the past and Microsoft has done a good job about keeping their mouth shut about this. Microsoft is busy trying to find a way to keep up or chase down Google and Yahoo for the top search engine. They are expected to be making a push this Summer with their new ad campaign. We'll see what happens on June 2, but as of right now, I'm not all that thrilled.

Manny Pacquiao Defeats Ricky Hatton In 2 Rounds!!

    Labels: , , ,

Yes, that's right. Manny Pacquiao dominated Ricky Hatton. Hatton just couldn't handle Manny's powerful right and left hooks. Pacquiao was on another level and Hatton just couldn't handle his hand-speed - like I said. I don't any boxer has faster hands than Pacquiao. On a side note, it was good to see Batista alongside Pacquiao on his way to the ring. Damn, I miss watching WWE. It took me longer to find the fight than for the actual fight to end - since I watched it online. The fight ended in Round 2 via TKO - my guess was off by 7 rounds... On another side note, take a look at Boxing Fanhouse for their thoughts on the fight. I seriously hope that the Mayweather - Pacquiao fight really happens because it'd be something that would actually be worth watching. I guess Floyd Mayweather Sr. isn't as good a trainer as he boasts that he is. I don't really know what else to tell you all. It was embarassing on Hatton's part and it was probably his last fight. Hatton's washed up, so it doesn't really matter if he retires.
