LG CF750 Secret On Its Way To AT&T?

Labels: , ,

The LG Secret has been around for a while now. I was actually deciding whether I should get this phone or the Nokia N81, but I chose the N81 because this phone has a resistive touchscreen. Anyways, it looks like the LG CF750 Secret could be heading to AT&T soon, according to the FCC. No one knows when or even if this is true, but we could see it soon. The LG Secret has pretty decent specs, such as: a 2.4-inch resistive touchscreen with a 320 x 240 resolution, a 5MP camera with an autofocus, an LED flash, face detection, and video capabilities, 100MB of internal storage, a microSD card slot with up to 4GB support, 3G, Bluetooth 2.0, a USB 2.0 port, an accelerometer, and an FM radio. It could also come in a couple of colours, like: black, ruby violet, and titan gold. We'll just have to see if this news is true, if not then I just wasted about 8 minutes talking about this thing.

This all-in-one PC from MSI is said to use less energy than most light bulbs at under 50W of power (less than 80% energy than a desktop PC). Angelina Jolie Showing Off Her Palm Pre

Labels: , , , , ,

No, the picture to the left is not real, but she does have one. Angelina Jolie was seen with her Palm Pre at her latest movie set. She talked about it "for two minutes" when LA Examiner asked her about it. She mentioned that she likes the software aka "better than the iPhone," and the QWERTY keypad. On a side note, she also mentioned that the screen scratches easily. I'm still excited about the Palm Pre, even though I'm not going to get one - unfortunately (thanks Canada). The Pre looks great and I would get it unlocked, but I think I'll hold off until Palm's next attempts because I want a slide-out QWERTY keyboard not a keypad. I'm extremely picky, but it is my money, I might as well choose something I'd love. The Pre does look s'amazing though. I envy her.

Acer Tempo M900 Smartphone Now Available!!

Labels: , , , , , ,

My favourite out of the 4 Acer Tempo Series phones is now available. The Acer Tempo M900 has: a 3.8-inch touchscreen with a WVGA resolution, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, a 5MP camera with autofocus and flashlight (yes, flashlight), GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, and HSDPA / Quad-band GSM connectivity. It's now available for $671.99 USD from Mobile Steals. The only bad thing about this phone is that it is running WinMo 6.1, which is a huge let down, seeing how WinMo 6.5 is just around the corner.

Foxconn To Build Apple's Netbook?

Labels: , , , , ,

The Apple netbook rumours have surfaced yet again and it's from good ol' DigiTimes. Apparently, Foxconn will be creating Apple's so-called netbook. I'm excited to see what it is because although I do dislike Macs, a netbook from Apple could be decent. It'll be interesting to see how big this is, because I'd need a netbook with around a 12-inch screen to get sucked in. It should also have around 8-hours of real-time battery life, hence why I haven't bought one yet. Hopefully, that Android netbook will have my desired battery life, although I doubt it. I'll probably have to wait until next year to find something decent.

Samsung N120 Netbook Now On Sale

Labels: , , ,

Yes, finally the N120 netbook is available... It doesn't really stand out for the crowd though, since it has your average netbook specs. It blends in with the rest of the netbooks with: a 10.1-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, Intel's Atom 1.6GHz N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, 3-in-1 card reader, a 6-cell battery, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, an Ethernet jack, and will, of course, run on Windows XP Home. The 6-cell battery is said to have 10-hours of battery life, but I know it's much less than that. Oh yes, don't forget that the Samsung N120 netbook has a 2.1-channel audio system - isn't that sweet? Like I said it is available today for $465.99 USD on Amazon, go check it out if you really want to.

RAmos RM990 iOne2 PMP Has Great Specs and A Small Price Tag

Labels: , ,

This is the latest PMP from RAmos, the RM990 iOne2. It looks fairly thick, but the spec sheet is, surprisingly enough, not too shabby. The RM990 iOne2 has a 3-inch resistive touchscreen with a WQVGA resolution, haptic feedback (vibrates when you touch the screen), an accelerometer, 4GB of internal storage, and has support for numerous file formats. It is now available overseas for just 399 yuan which is only $58 USD.

Toshiba 10-Inch Netbook; The Dynabook UX

Labels: , , , , ,

Here's 2 pictures of the Toshiba Dynabook UX netbook. The Dynabook UX has a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, the Intel Atom 1.66GHz N280 CPU, 945GSE graphics card, and a 160GB HDD. I don't know why, but the keyboard doesn't look too bad. Chiclet style looks good on this thing - although I dislike the overall look. For a netbook it's kind of expensive, since it has a base price of $600 USD. It could be a bit too expensive (according to Engadget) especially with netbooks with Intel's CULV CPUs coming shortly.

Daigo Is The Street Fighter IV Champion of the World; Wong Wins U.S. Title

Labels: , , ,

If you haven't seen Daigo in action, I feel really sorry for you. A couple of days ago, I spent a good portion of my day dedicated to watching Daigo rape face. He's famous for his comeback video where he parries a whole Chun-Li special move (forgot the name, embarassingly enough). Anyways, at a recent Street Fighter IV tournament held in San Franscisco, Daigo (playing as Ryu) beat Justin Wong (playing as Rufus) 4-0 in the finals. He is just that good. On a side note, Justin Wong still managed to claim the U.S. title, so he was not empty handed. Pics of the event are at the Kineda link below.

LG Promises An OLED TV By The End Of The Year

Labels: ,

LG has announced that they will launch an OLED TV by the end of this year. The OLED TV will cost approximately 2.1 times more than a regular LCD TV, so that's disappointing - but not surprising. It could be a 19-inch OLED TV, but we'll just have to see what they come out with. On a side note, LG is expecting to release up to 35 panels this year.

Samsung Instinct Mini Is Now Available Through Sprint

Labels: , , , ,

For all of you Samsung Instinct (S30) Mini fans out there, today is your day. The Mini is now available through Sprint for $129.99 USD on a 2-year contract. The Instinct Mini (compared to its predecessor) is slimmer, has an easier UI to navigate through, and most glitches / bugs are probably fixed. Just in case you were planning to go out and get one now, you might want to take a look at Best Buy's prices first. I think we should all wait for the Palm Pre, especially those on Sprint right now.

More BlackBerry Niagara Pictures; On Niagara Street

Labels: , ,

I don't know where this picture is taken, but it's another 2 pictures of the sexiest BlackBerry to embrace our world. These 2 new BlackBerry Niagara photos are clearly taken on Niagara Street, but - like I said - I don't know where that is. Although, I won't get it, it sure is a sexy piece of hardware from Canada, thanks RIM.

Mac vs PC Ad IV, V, VI, and VII: Mac Targets PCs

Labels: , , ,

Apple has released 4 new ads targeting PCs. Time Traveler is an ad where PC goes into the future to find out if PCs are as stable as Macs, but he finds out that nothing has changed. Stacks is an ad where PC is going through a bunch of photos, but Mac tells him that they have this new feature called facial recognition and owns Mr. PC. Legal Copy is an ad where, basically, "PC wants us to believe he's easy to use, but the lawyers say otherwise," according to Gizmodo. And Biohazard Suit (picture above) is as ad where malware / virus / Conficker is definitely pointed out.

I'll admit some features of the Mac are "cool" - and I have those implemented on my PC, thanks to ObjectDock - but it's only a matter of time until they start getting owned by viruses. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my cheap and faster PC, while Mac owners pay for craptastic hardware. I can't even remember the last time I've had a virus / malware infect my computer, that only happens to inexperienced users.

Nintendo DSi Could Be Getting Skype Support

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

The iPhone has it, BlackBerry will get it, and the Nokia N97 could have it pre-installed. Skype is being implemented in some our smartphones today. Nintendo wants to join this VoIP trend mentioning that it is a "possibility." The Nintendo DSi camera is not all that great, but it's better than nothing, right? Skype on the DSi will obviously come with no costly contracts, so it would definitely be a good free addition to your gaming handheld. Only time will tell and Nintendo DSi fans are probably hoping this dream comes true, even if DSi owners are a bit young - besides Beyonce.

If the Nintendo DSi gets Skype, I wouldn't be surprised to see the PSP 2 with it as well.

Sony Could Show Off Larger OLED TV This Year At IFA

Labels: , , , , ,

Son can't stop showing off their XEL-1 OLED TV and it seems like that's all we've been squinting at this last year. Well, looks like Sony could be showing us a larger (approx. 20-inch) OLED TV this September at IFA 2009. IFA may also showcase a number of new TV products such as: more 21:9 aspect ratio TVs, more Internet-ready HDTVs, and a particular Samsung HDTV with 400Hz technology. IFA is shaping up to be a great event to showcase new TVs, so don't buy one just yet.

Nokia N97 Coming To Vodafone This July; Possibly N86 As Well

Labels: , , , ,

The Nokia N97 that has been delayed numerous times looks like it will be hitting Vodafone this July. I really want to know how much they're getting this for because this is Nokia's flagship phone and I want it. It's scheduled for a July release and, I'll admit it, the camera is kind of outdated for a Summer release. I hope Nokia decides to continue this N97 trend and that they continue to release more phones like this. I'm begging for a Nokia N97 with an 8MP / 12MP camera, and a capacitive touchscreen (could be a possibility). Anyways, the N97 has a 3.5-inch resistive touchscreen, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5MP camera, GPS, WiFi, 32GB of internal memory, a microSD slot (support for up to 16GB), HSDPA connectivity, and will run on S60 5th Edition. The prices will be subsidized since it will be coming from Vodafone, which makes everyone jealous on this side of the world - North America.

The Nokia N86 may also be released by Vodafone after the N97 gets released. They're just testing it to see if the software works well. I don't like the keypad on the N86 - too plasticky.
