Palm's Flagship Phone Unveiled; Palm Post

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Talk about sexy. Palm has just announced, at CTIA Wireless, that this is the Palm Post. This is Palm's new flagship phone, so who cares about the Pre right now. Palm Pre has been rumoured to be released on April 30, but the Post will be available a bit earlier, April 10 specifically. The specs are incredible: 3.5G / 4G / 5G / WiFi / WiMAX connectivity, a 21MP camera with 1080p video recording capabilities, a 4.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen (rivaling the Toshiba TG01), Bluetooth 4.0, Wireless USB charging / syncing, and has a whopping 128GB of on-board flash memory (no word on a microSD slot). The spec sheet isn't quite done yet. It also has a Hydrogen-cell battery which is enough for 2 weeks of talk-time and 2 months of standby, an HD pico projector, 5.1 channel audio surround sound, and - to top it off - has "T10 predictive thought text auto-correction." Like I said before, it will be available on April 10 through Sprint for just $49.99 USD on a 2-year contract. The only thing this phone is missing is the QWERTY keyboard / keypad, but I think the spec sheet makes up for it.

On a side note, I thought it'd be a good way to kick off April Fool's.
